We got to take our first look at the much anticipated and long awaited IWI Masada. This is IWI's head first leap into the striker fire market and I believe it will make a splash. Visually, it appears to be an aesthetic mixture of a Glock 19 and SIG P320. Don't be fooled, this is not a striker fire clone. This gun is packed full of out of the box features. The Masada comes packing a polygonal rifled, cold hammer forged barrel, fully ambidextrous operating controls, and like the SIG P320 it boasts 100% interchangeability, with an interchangeable trigger mechanism housing. It has one of the most crisp triggers that I have ever experienced stock in a striker fire pistol. The pull weight is right around the industry standard, but it feels like a 3.5 to 4 lbs trigger pull. In my humble opinion, IWI got this one right. They seemingly took what worked really well with the SIG and Glock and produced a truly great platform. The price point on this gun, coming in at around $480 MSRP, is sure to turn some heads. I felt like I got a tremendous amount of quality for my money, bang for my buck. If you are in the market for a duty sized firearm, don't sleep on the IWI Masada.
